A fully computerized control system links into an automated pick face which gives access to a clean, efficient, and well-organized warehouse.
Domestic orders including individual pharmacy orders are picked, packed and can be delivered same day into the Auckland, Metropolitan area. Other orders are faxed or phoned in by our nationwide network of sales representatives and distributed throughout New Zealand using one of our highly efficient carriers.
Export orders from around the World, are faxed through to our computerized demand planning system. The system then aggregates the orders into a schedule, which enables product with the highest priority to be dispatched first. For larger orders it combines deliveries that can be shipped together by container reducing shipping costs the benefits of which are passed onto our customers.
The Douglas distribution process is designed to provide our customers with the most cost effective and efficient method of delivering its products to all areas of the world.
It is based on a well-structured system, which has strong control and validation process, but also allows for agility and innovation.
