Founded in 1967 and based in West Auckland, Douglas Pharmaceuticals is the largest New Zealand owned pharmaceutical company employing 450 people.

The Company has recently ventured into Soft Gelatine manufacturing with state of the art manufacturing and testing facilities.  There are plans in place to expand this area of manufacturing.  We require a Chemical Operator who can demonstrably demonstrate experience in Soft Gel Manufacturing.

Your new role reports into the Soft Gel Coordinator and will see you setting up, running and breaking down product production runs in the Soft Gel manufacturing suite optimising soft Gel product production and ensuring quality output in keeping with GMP.  A track record that demonstrates production deadlines being met, the performance of authorised checks, troubleshooting batch/equipment issues and an active role in process improvement initiatives is a must.  Due to the expansion plans we would expect the successful applicant to be a competent trainer of other operators.

Do you possess?

• Tertiary qualification in a science related field or engineering
• Demonstrated ability to meet KPI’s
• Minimum of 3-5 years recent manufacturing experience in Soft Gelatine processes
• Problem Solving
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Commitment to best practice operational methodologies & continuous improvement
